Who are the goalkeepers of the month for December 2018 at Futbol Emotion Academy’s schools?

We’re taking a breather over the Christmas holidays to recharge our batteries ahead of an exciting 2019, full of new projects at Futbol Emotion Academy that we’ll be revealing bit by bit. But as well as new events for the coming year, we want to keep the ones we already have going stronger than ever.

Many of our students from different schools across Spain have taken part in one of the 20 clinic venues spread throughout the country to continue their training during this period in a more intensive way, ensuring they’re in top form and learn new things ahead of the new year. Others have preferred to switch off and return to school in 2019 in top form. And at our schools, we’d like to highlight the following as the best goalkeepers for the month of December:

At our La Roda (Albacete) centre, the goalkeeper of the month was David Bueno, singled out by the coaching staff for his enthusiasm, optimism and attitude in every training session, which has enabled him to make good progress. Raimundo Salas, coordinator of the Albacete academy and coach of Fundación Albacete in the Iberdrola League and Albacete B, has great faith in this young goalkeeper’s potential.

Here in Barcelona, we are particularly proud of our fledgling schools in Sabadell and Granollers, run and coordinated by Josep Sallent. The effort, hard work and sacrifice put in by both the coaches and the goalkeepers – who come every week to share their passion for goalkeeping and to continue learning and enjoying themselves together – are truly remarkable.

Aritz Gabriel is a young goalkeeper from the Sabadell school, a gifted youngster with innate abilities that place him at a technical and tactical level far beyond what one might expect for his age.

Another outstanding goalkeeper whom the coaching staff at the Barcelona training centre have chosen to recognise is Javier Ortega. Thanks to his fine performances and commitment – not to mention, of course, his exceptional natural talent – this goalkeeper is set to be a name to watch in the future of Catalan and Spanish football.

In Bilbao, our colleague and school coordinator, Gaizka Egaña, has chosen to honour the three goalkeepers who, in the opinion of the coaching staff, have most deserved it during this final month of 2018. 

Firstly, one of the standout goalkeepers has been Ekaitz Aguilar. Well done, champion! Here he is, posing proudly with his well-deserved certificate and Goalkeeper of the Month award.

Another of our goalkeepers of the month is Eneko Hernando, now a veteran of our academy and various events, who surpasses himself month after month and continues to improve. Where will he stop? Let’s hope we never find out, because we’re sure his potential is limitless.

And the final standout goalkeeper of the year is the equally young and talented Oier Aguilar. This is thanks to his progress and his hard work every week under Gaizka’s guidance.

At the Pontevedra academy – the most intimate and small-scale of our academies this season – goalkeepers who come to learn and enjoy themselves receive personalised attention and unique support. This December, the goalkeeper that César Pazos (academy coordinator and goalkeeping coach for Celta de Vigo’s youth teams) has chosen to highlight is Fernando.

The Valencia branch continues to operate at full capacity, with every single category packed to the rafters with children. Thanks to the excellent organisation of former Valencia CF professional goalkeeper Jorge Bartual, the Albuixech academy is fully booked every Monday. From the large number of goalkeepers training under the guidance of ‘La Araña Negra’, we’ve decided to highlight two of them this month. 

Firstly, Pau. Congratulations on being the last ‘Goalkeeper of the Month’ for 2018.

And little Rubén, posing so proudly with the new boot bag he’s won thanks to his hard work, daily effort and dedication, which help him grow and improve every week at the Fútbol Emotion Academy school.

The latest academy where we’d like to highlight two new Goalkeepers of the Month is the one with the highest number of participants of all. The Zaragoza academy has more than 40 pupils every week, and two of them have stood out from the rest in recent days. Firstly, Adrián Rodrigo Calvo receives the award alongside his teammates.

And his teammate Adrián Garrido has shown real progress thanks to his hard work and the support of some excellent coaches, led by one of the leading coaches at Futbol Emotion Academy, Adrián Sanguino.
