All the boots for the Qatar World Cup

With just a few days to go until the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, let's take a look at all the collections presented by the four leading brands for the most important sporting event of the year.

What should every footballer heading to the World Cup pack in their suitcase? Enthusiasm? Commitment to their country? Toothpaste? There is one item that is truly essential: football boots. All the brands have already presented the collections that their footballers will wear during the World Cup in Qatar, so we thought it would be a good idea to write this blog reviewing each one of them.

Let's start with Puma football boots. This is the brand that has done the worst job for this World Cup, as the feeling is that we are looking at a collection that will pass without pain or glory in the memory of football boot fans. And we don't mean to say that the new Puma Fearless Pack is ugly, because it's not at all, but it gives the impression that it's something we've already seen and that it's nothing special.

Both the Puma Future football boots and the Puma Ultra football boots share a striking, eye-catching orange colour as their base. On top of this, we find yellow, which colours the logos and details, creating a beautiful mix of fluorescent shades.

From Germany we travel to the United States to see New Balance's football boots for the World Cup in Qatar. If we said earlier that Puma has not presented anything new for this World Cup, with New Balance the opposite is true. The American brand has changed its two main silos to a new generation, which tells us that Boston is aware of the important opportunity that this event represents in terms of visibility and impact.

In addition, the recent New Balance Headline Taker Pack plays with three colours that have been very representative in past World Cups. The New Balance Tekela football boots are the ones that benefit most from a chrome finish which, combined with the aggressive design of the silo, will catch the attention of anyone who sees them on the pitch.

We remain in the United States to discuss Nike's football boots for the World Cup. The swoosh brand has opted for gold to represent the trophy of the most important tournament for national teams in its three silos. The Mercurial football boots are the ones that best reflect this idea, as the entire surface of their upper is dyed in this striking colour, achieving a spectacular result.

The Phantom GT2 football boots are caught between two worlds. The gold colour of the lower half links the entire Nike range with the brand's other boots, but the black colour of the upper detracts from its presence and personality. The final finish is too serious for what the swoosh brand could have achieved with Phantom GT. Although, when it comes to serious finishes, Nike Tiempo football boots take the cake. It's true that it's Nike's most classic silo and that sobriety always seems to be the cornerstone of Tiempo designs, but we're facing an event that will stop the world, and perhaps it was time to shout from the rooftops that Tiempo is a classic with a young spirit.

Last but not least, we review the adidas football boots for the World Cup in Qatar. A colourful design is the common thread linking the German brand's three silos, with the background colour changing in each one. The Copa Sense football boots are the ones that, at first glance, seemed to benefit the least from this collection, but judging by your feedback on our social media, perhaps that was just a personal perception and the finish is not as unfortunate as we thought.

The adidas Predator football boots are among your favourites, and this Al Rihla Pack is no exception. The white background is a good canvas on which to display the colourful decoration that adidas has decided to introduce in its silos, and this, together with the fact that more and more users are giving Predator a try, has made these particular football boots one of the best sellers. Finally, we'll talk about the adidas X Speedportal football boots, the speed silo from the brand with the three stripes. A subtle turquoise colour has been chosen by adidas for its boots designed for the player who stands out on the pitch, a shade that at first glance seemed like it would attract attention, but when we see them on the pitch, we feel that they lack that little bit of spice we expected from X in a World Cup.

All in all, these are the football boots for the Qatar World Cup from the four leading brands, featuring new generations, exclusive designs and an endless array of colours and ranges available both in stores and on the Fútbol Emotion website.
