The 11th of November, or as many of you will know, ‘Singles' Day’, is the busiest shopping day in the world and originated in China. The idea is to encourage consumption through the antithesis of Valentine's Day. In China, the number 1 is associated with single people, which is why it is celebrated on 11/11.
The German brand adidas did not want to miss the opportunity to launch a product on this date, thereby attempting to gain a foothold on a day when football is of little significance. It did so by presenting these new adidas X Speedflow 11 vs 11 football boots, which refer both to the date of Singles' Day and to the number of players each team has on the pitch.
We are talking about a new design for the adidas X Speedflow football boots, with no technological or functional changes, but with a particularly striking design that is closely linked to the reason for their launch, Singles' Day.
Let's start with the main feature: the colour that covers almost the entire upper of these football boots. This time, adidas brings us a striking, eye-catching royal blue that fits perfectly with the essence of speed boots that X Speedflow conveys. This blue acts as a base on which adidas has added the striking details of these football boots.
On the outside, there are 11 red ‘X’s distributed across the length and width of the outer surface of these adidas football boots. On the inside, however, there are 11 white ‘O’s which, like the crosses on the outside, cover the entire inner surface of these adidas X Speedflow boots.
Is it a coincidence that there are 11 “X's and 11 'O's? Of course not. 11/11 is the date of 'Singles Day”. Furthermore, when we represent two football teams on paper or on a board, we usually differentiate between 11 X and 11 O, hence these are the figures and the number of each symbol that appears in the design of these adidas X Speedflow football boots.
Moving on to the heel, white reappears to add colour to the external heel counter, which joins the sole to form a single piece in this colour. The three adidas stripes are also white, with that familiar sense of speed that the German brand has managed to bring to this area.
This special edition of adidas 11 vs 11 football boots brings us a + version without laces, a .1 with laces on the FG sole, and a .1, this time in red, with the adidas turf sole, offering us three different models to satisfy all users of adidas X Speedflow football boots.
Adidas has launched this pack to mark Singles' Day, featuring a distinctive and fun design for the most casual football boot model from the brand with the three stripes. Now available in shops and on the Fútbol Emotion website.
Nineties nostalgia is back with a combination of the new adidas Predator boots and the signature 90s aesthetic of adidas EQT. These luxurious boots are going to be thoroughly analysed.
