Nike’s quintessential classic football boots are moving into a new generation. The Nike Premier II has been with us for several years now – classic, comfortable football boots that remind us of the football of yesteryear. But times change, and the Nike Premier football boots must too. Today we present the third generation of the Nike Premier football boots, a true classic which, alongside the adidas Copa Mundial football boots, reminds us that there is another approach, far removed from the latest technologies and materials, through which we can experience traditional football more vividly than ever.
Of course, as you’d expect from Nike Premier football boots, genuine kangaroo leather covers much of the upper. One of the main new features of these Nike football boots is the inclusion of two semicircles on the front, both inside and outside, coinciding with the striking zones. These semicircles appear to be made of the same material as the rest of the upper, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Nike had reinforced that area in some way, as it is the part that makes contact with the ball when striking it.
Moving on to the details, another new feature of the Nike Premier football boots is the split Swoosh on the back. Whilst this may initially appear to be purely aesthetic – given that the American brand has also incorporated the logo of this range into that section – it is also a functional change. This panel runs from the sole to the ankle area, and together with the various seams found on the rest of the Nike Premier football boots, it will provide stability whilst playing football.
Another significant change can be found in the tongue. A classic version of this feature, already seen in the previous generation, but with a revamped design whilst retaining a retro aesthetic – something that fits perfectly with the essence of the Nike Premier football boots. Thanks to the inclusion of this tongue, the lace knot is concealed beneath it, thereby eliminating any interference when in contact with the ball – a crucial feature for users of Nike’s most classic boot range.
Last but not least, we turn our attention to the back of the Nike Premier football boots to discover another new feature. As was the case with the previous generation, the Swoosh brand used this area to feature its name in the form of a logo, but this time they have gone one step further. In addition to the letters forming the word “NIKE”, the new Nike Premier football boots feature the silo logo beneath the brand logo, with a decorative border that makes all these letters stand out even more, if that’s possible.
These are the new Nike Premier football boots, which are currently only available with the SG Anti Clog sole, but we’re sure to see the FG version soon. Don’t hesitate to pick up a pair in-store or on the Fútbol Emotion website.
Nineties nostalgia is back with a combination of the new adidas Predator boots and the signature 90s aesthetic of adidas EQT. These luxurious boots are going to be thoroughly analysed.
