It’s already mid-October, and normally by now we’d be on the cusp of the third round of the Champions League; the truth is that today we’re talking about a new collection of football boots brought to us by adidas Football. According to the German brand’s designers, the colour scheme is entirely inspired by the official Champions League ball, which will only see its opening round next week, starting on the 20th October.
New adidas Glory Hunter Pack
As you may have noticed in this new collection of adidas football boots, what makes it stand out is not only the colour scheme chosen for the boots, but also the fact that it is the first collection in many months to be officially launched featuring just three models: the X, Predator and Copa.
This development is sure to spark a flurry of discussion on social media about whether Nemeziz will launch a new generation of its boots, or whether we are witnessing the end of the boot range created exclusively by the German brand for its star player, the Argentine footballer and FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
adidas Copa football boots
For the adidas Copa 20 football boots, adidas has used a whiter base colour than on the other football boots in this collection. However, the best news is that the German brand has removed the 3D-printed graphic from the upper, which in itself takes these boots back to their initial heyday.
In reality, it wasn’t so much the colour chosen for some of the studs on the FG sole or those small red accents on the heel, but rather the inclusion of the brand’s three signature stripes in a bold blue shade, using a material different from what we’re used to seeing. We'd perhaps say that these are the same boots that were unveiled in November 2018. As for on-pitch support, we’ll see these boots on the feet of players such as Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund and Fikayo Tomori of Chelsea; however, it’s more likely we’ll see these players wearing the adidas Copa 20.1 versions.
adidas X football boots
As for the German brand’s speed boots, the German designers have given the adidas X Ghosted+ “GloryHunter” boots a completely revamped look, featuring sky blue tones with blue and orange detailing and finishes. In terms of technology, these new boots are completely identical to the two previous editions already launched by adidas. The main ambassador for this boot on the pitch will be Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus.
adidas Predator football boots
The adidas Predator football boots are available in this Glory Hunter pack from the adidas collection, both in a laceless version and in a low-cut version with a slimmer profile and laces. This even gives this version a more traditional look, reminiscent of the original Predator. As for the colour scheme, the same light blue base is evident across the entire upper, complemented by touches of darker blue on both the adidas stripes and the more corporate elements of the boot, such as the logo of this stud range and its external heel counter.
The boot’s key technology takes centre stage in this version, featuring in an orange colourway and clearly designed to stand out. Players such as Bayern Munich’s David Alaba, Rodrigo Bentancur, Fabinho and Atlético Madrid’s Koke will make their Champions League debuts wearing these boots.
