As you know, this summer we should have been enjoying a spectacular European Championship across Europe – a tournament that would have been played in several countries, a Euro unlike any we’ve experienced before. And, of course, we would have been treated to plenty of spectacular goals and great matches.
One of the questions many people have been asking relates to football boots and goalkeeper gloves: what’s happening with the designs that were planned for this major tournament? Well, as you’ve no doubt noticed, they’re still being released. Production hasn’t stopped, and, obviously, we’ll have different designs next year. Today we’re going to talk about the adidas Euro 2020 pack: the adidas Uniforia Pack.
The German brand has today unveiled the new adidas football boots designed for the Euro. These boots, if you look closely, are inspired by the football that the brand has already unveiled for this tournament. As we can see, these models feature a white base, with different, much more subtle colours defining each boot. In fact, each adidas model features a different colour combination, but when we see them all together, the colours of the ball reappear.
With this colour scheme, adidas aims to highlight everything that originates from the streets. The colours look as though they’ve been hand-painted, as if the boots had been decorated in the style of murals – a form of artistic expression that has become hugely popular in recent years. And, judging by the end result, it’s clear that adidas has done a brilliant job of conveying a very specific message: to remind us that authentic, pure football has its roots on the streets.
Let’s now take a look at each of the models that adidas is presenting in this pack and the colourways chosen for each boot. Obviously, the models are the same and there are no changes in terms of technology; the real novelty lies in the colourways.
For example, on the adidas Predator – perhaps the most innovative boots in the collection – we find an all-white base, the brand’s iconic three stripes in black and, finally, splashes of fluorescent red and yellow. These colours also feature on the Demonskin and on the sole, including the studs. It’s a very bold colourway that we’ll see many players sporting, and one we’ve already seen Ter Stegen pair with his adidas goalkeeper gloves, which also come in this new colourway.
The adidas Copa and adidas Nemeziz models are the most similar in terms of design. As usual, both feature a white base, against which green and blue stand out in the case of the Nemeziz, and yellow and black in the case of the Copa. Here, too, we see a major change in terms of design, whilst, functionally, everything remains the same.
Finally, we round off with the adidas X, which feature a much lighter and simpler colour scheme, with a single colour standing out against the white background: a very vibrant and elegant shade of pink.
This is the new adidas collection, which is now available on the Fútbol Emotion website.
