Reusch’s new gloves were unveiled as part of the German brand’s ongoing commitment to support the sport, as it always does. Pioneers in innovation – as clearly demonstrated by the Reusch Pure Contact X Ray Speedbump glove – in two key areas: firstly, a significant step forward in terms of design; and secondly, and no less importantly, in technology, with the introduction of the new Reusch Speedbump technology.

Without a doubt, the goalkeeper who plays for Tottenham – and who has been leading and captaining the World Cup-winning French national team for several years now – is one of the best goalkeepers of this decade, ranking among the top 10 without question.

As we mentioned very recently, with the new Reusch Fit Control Blue Diamond gloves, it’s worth noting that nothing has changed in terms of technology. What we can see, however, is that – as is usually the case – every goalkeeper has their own preferences, which is why Hugo Lloris has opted for a pair of goalkeeper gloves in yellow and black, featuring a hybrid negative-roll cut.

Technical features: Reusch Fit Control

It is worth noting that, although more than a year has passed since the launch of the Reusch Fit Control range, this new glove has a more technical name and bears no relation to the other models in its previous collections (Repulse, Receptor, Prisma, Waorani, etc.). The name may not be related, but the design certainly is. These Reusch Fit Control gloves, for all glove enthusiasts, bear a striking resemblance to the 2017 Prisma model, particularly on the back of the hand, which retains the same positioning of the main latex panel.

This German latex blend is enriched with special adhesive additives offering the very best properties. Of course, we must emphasise that this palm is designed for soft surfaces, specifically natural grass, as the G3 Fusion foam is extremely soft, even though Reusch incorporates solid black latex dots that significantly increase durability. Another interesting feature of this palm is that, in addition to the black dots mentioned, it includes blue Aqua latex dots, featuring the innovative Hydrograin™ technology which takes grip in wet conditions to a whole new level.

Let’s move on to one of the areas where goalkeepers who prefer a snug-fitting glove will find what they’re looking for. Featuring the Evolution Negative Cut design with anatomical lines running across the entire palm and extending towards the thumb in a wraparound style. It incorporates a small latex insert at the base of the palm with a high synthetic content; however, this time it is not Duraloop, as it is limited solely to the base, and serves to prevent abrasion wear in that area.

Moving on to the back of the glove, this features the 3D Air Vent Mesh and ProFlex system in the central area of the back, with two latex panels incorporating various textured patterns and flex points. This model does not include ShockShield Advance, which means it is a slightly simpler design. An elastic wristband and a classic latex fastening strap complete this goalkeeper’s glove.
