Boca Juniors' new third kit is entirely dedicated to the Boca Pedro Pompilio sports complex, better known as ‘Casa Amarilla’ (Yellow House), which, for those who don't know, is the sports and training centre for Boca's players.
The yellow house has a complex that houses the boarding house for youth players, as well as the venue where the women's team plays. Adidas' tribute comes this year, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the yellow house.
Boca Juniors' jersey
The design takes the initial letters of BOCA, which we see at the entrance and which expand into a watermark along with the stars of the titles across the front. The choice of colours comes directly from Boca's kits from the 1980s.
The bright colours clearly highlight the elements of the jersey, as both the collar and the three adidas stripes on the shoulders stand out prominently. The back is completely plain, featuring numbers in the same font as the rest of the jersey, with the exception of the collar, where the message ‘Casa Amarilla’ is clearly visible, completing the jersey's tribute.
The rest of the kit is complemented by blue shorts and yellow socks, with a slight variation for the women's kit, which has a less pronounced collar and no lapels.
On a technical level, as usual, we will have two versions of the jersey: the adidas ‘heat rdy’ technology jersey for maximum performance, which is very lightweight and wicks away sweat to keep us cool and dry whenever we wear the yellow jersey.
The other version is for amateurs and is of the highest quality, as it uses ‘Aeroready’ technology, which, as before, helps to optimally wick away sweat without adding weight to the jersey. It is also less fitted and made with slightly thicker fibres.
And that's it for Boca Juniors' new kit. A very fitting tribute that will ensure all the fans cheer on their team in style at La Bombonera. Now available on the Futbol Emotion website.
