The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is the most important and controversial sporting event of this season. The change of date, the controversial voting process to select the host country, the conditions of workers and the bans on LGTBI groups are, among many others, the main reasons why FIFA has been heavily criticised for taking the World Cup to Qatar, something that does not seem to matter within the organisation, as its president, Gianni Infantino, recently assured that the World Cup in Qatar ‘will be a unique experience’, adding, ‘It will be like when a child goes to Disneyland for the first time.’ It seems that the FIFA president has not visited this theme park and imagines that Mickey Mouse himself enslaves his workers by denying them their rights, as is the case in his World Cup.
But beyond personal opinions that have little to do with football, we will focus on what we are here to discuss today: the presentation of the World Cup jerseys. The Spanish national team is approaching the World Cup with the enthusiasm generated by its strong performance in last year's Euro, where it came within a hair's breadth of reaching the final. For such an important event, Adidas has launched the new jerseys for the Spanish national team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, two kits with which our players will seek to add a second star to our crest.
We will start with the Spanish national team's home jersey for the World Cup in Qatar, which is, of course, red. This time, the new Spain jersey features a retro style, which is beautiful. A slightly darker red than on previous occasions is the colour that Adidas has chosen for the Spanish kit. This is accompanied by dark blue, which is used on several parts of the sides, the three stripes on the shoulders, and the collar trim.
Yellow is the second colour featured on the Spanish national team's new shirt for the World Cup in Qatar. It appears on both the brand logo and the crest, adding colour to a simple design. Moving on to the details, the Spanish flag takes centre stage, appearing on both the collar and the sides, the latter in a very subtle and elegant way. In short, this is a simple jersey with a retro feel, featuring the adidas logo without the accompanying letters below it for the first time.
And now that we've discussed the home jersey, let's move on to the Spanish national team's away jersey for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Creativity and imagination take centre stage in the away jersey, both in terms of design and colours. While we mentioned earlier how simple and elegant the Spanish home jersey was, the away jersey is quite the opposite. It has a modern design, with waves sublimated across the entire surface of the jersey, giving it a fun and innovative sense of movement. The colour chosen for the jersey is sky blue, which becomes darker when covering the aforementioned figures.
The adidas logo, again without the letters, is located in the centre of the chest. Below it, the national team's crest stands out in its usual striking red colour, a shade that gives it presence and importance within the overall design. Finally, as a detail, the German brand has also wanted to give prominence to our country's flag on the Spanish national team's away jersey for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, introducing it into the three stripes on the shoulders.
These are the two jerseys that the Spanish national football team will wear during the World Cup to be played at the end of this year. Remember that you can already reserve them on the Fútbol Emotion website and that they will soon be available in all our stores.
We now have the new Italian national team jersey, so we would like to take this opportunity to look back at some of the most iconic jersey worn by Italy in World Cup history.
We're back with the third kit from the Blaugrana club, which comes in a colour that has truly left its mark on the club's history. Read on to find out all the details.
