January 2020 new releases

The biggest launches in the world of football are back in our blog section. We all know that the new year means brands are gearing up to bring us a flood of football boots, gloves, kits and team jerseys, so we’ll be here to help you round up everything the first month of the year has had in store for us.

New releases in football boots are usually what make the biggest splash and have the greatest impact on all our fans, but that’s not all, as for all of us who love and are passionate about everything to do with sports equipment, it certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed; in fact, January 2020 has brought one of the biggest revolutions of recent years: the adidas Predator 20 gloves.

adidas

As we mentioned, adidas football boots have been one of the main highlights, but they haven’t come alone. A key element – the classic style – features in the German brand’s Shadowbeast Pack. Once again, it’s a pack steeped in black, for the most traditional players on the pitch. But the spotlight is unanimously on the Mutator Pack, which, as you all know, features the adidas Predator 20+ football boot, as well as the adidas Predator 20 futsal shoe and its glove version. Not forgetting, of course, the adidas Copa 20+, the adidas X19+ and Leo Messi’s boots, the adidas Nemeziz.

Puma

Let’s move on to the other German brand of the day. As you’ll see throughout this post, the new collections are what we’ll really be talking about. The new Puma Spark Pack is the name given to this launch. In fact, it’s one of the packs that’s been most popular overall, as the combination of colours such as yellow and black is all the rage and a safe bet. Under the slogan ‘light the spark’, it featured the new Puma ONE 20.1 football boot, a simple yet functional redesign. As everyone knows, the Puma Future 5.1 boots remain the brand’s star product for now, as they’re the boots worn by Griezmann and Luis Suárez – true media stars and irreplaceable figures when wearing the Fútbol Club Barcelona jersey.

Nike

Just as with its long-standing rival, a black-themed pack such as the Kinetic Black appeared alongside the new Future Lab Pack. With the launch of the new Nike Phantom Vision 2 football boots, the same colours and style were also introduced to Nike’s other football boot ranges. This design is based on the colour crimson, but not a basic shade – rather, ‘laser crimson’. This colour has featured prominently in the brand’s recent history, appearing on the Nike Mercurial football boots, the classic Nike Tiempo and, of course, its sister model, the Nike Phantom Venom.

Futsal shoes weren’t going to be left out either, as the new Nike Phantom Vision II were unveiled for fans of the 40x20 pitch.

New Balance

New Balance is certainly not missing from this list, as a colourway update for the New Balance Tekela boots is set to appear in fresh, bold shades. Although the control silo is one of our favourites, the new NB Furon v6 football boots are set to arrive as part of a new generation and steal the limelight. New Balance is definitely aiming to become a leading name in the world of football, just as it is in other sports. And that’s why it’s going ‘all out’ with its boots, which have simply left us speechless with their new materials and designs, resulting in a much cleaner boot that reinforces the Furon’s sprinter-like spirit and satisfies its fastest players – after all, these are Mané’s football boots.

Football jerseys

In this case, adidas completely dominates this category. Official merchandise has been a fixture on the streets and in neighbourhoods for decades – both as part of the game and as a fashion statement. True jersey culture. These days, it’s not just what players wear during the most demanding moments of competition that matters; their kit has also become a lifestyle statement off the pitch.

The three-stripe brand unveiled Boca Juniors’ new jersey, as well as an exclusive collaboration involving two countries and their league, featuring the new MLS jerseys.

Of course, don’t forget that all these products are available via the Fútbol Emotion website.
