Emerson Royal (Real Betis) - Nike Mercurial Vapor Pro Turf
The Brazilian player is known for regularly wearing Nike Mercurial Superfly VII boots. However, in a Copa del Rey match, the Real Betis player took to the pitch wearing the turf version of those same boots, the Dream Speed model. It is worth noting that the match in question was against a team from the Spanish Segunda División B, a team with a very worn artificial pitch; and, given these circumstances, and although many of his teammates chose to wear the same boots they usually do, Emerson ended up wearing this boot, which was much more suitable for the type of surface he was playing on. But the icing on the cake was the superb goal the Brazilian defender scored in that very match.
Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain) - Puma Future Z
After much anticipation, a major initial marketing campaign featuring the Puma King and that teaser-style boot released just a few weeks ago, it was finally confirmed yesterday that Neymar will be switching to the new Puma Future Z football boot range. It can even be said that the player was actively involved in the design of this new boot, as he has been seen wearing them in numerous Paris Saint-Germain training sessions in a blackout version, which is believed to be an unfinished version of this new boot and which we will soon be analysing in detail on Fútbol Emotion.
Ederson Moraes (Manchester City) - Puma Ultra
In recent weeks, we have seen a veritable parade of different brands of goalkeeper gloves and football boots in the Manchester City goal. There are rumours that Nike will not be renewing its contract with the Brazilian footballer and one of the Brazilian national team’s goalkeepers, which is why we have seen Ederson wearing combinations of gloves and boots from both adidas and Puma in both training sessions and matches. What is most striking at the moment is that the kit he has been using most frequently is the Puma Ultra football boots paired with the gloves from that range. It is highly likely that the goalkeeper is close to finalising a sponsorship deal with the German brand and that, as a result, Nike will once again lose a world-class athlete to one of its main rivals.
Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain) - Nike Mercurial Superfly "Chosen 2"
Despite the increasingly persistent rumours about the imminent arrival of the new Nike Mercurial football boot, the truth is that this limited edition by Kylian Mbappé is a real rarity and, without a doubt, one of the most stylish boots we’ll see this year in terms of design. All the work behind this collaboration between the French player and LeBron James adds a very elegant touch to one of the best football boots on the market. With this version, the player has now received three exclusive models in his still-short professional career.
