Nike Mercurial New Lights
The flagship line of the American brand, Nike Mercurial, have arrived to the 2019-20 season with a generation leap in its Superfly and Vapor versions with an aggressive change on both aesthetic and functional levels. Mbappé, Hazard, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymr already have their boots to start the new season.
Upper
The new Flyknit upper presents a plaited knit that favours the contact with the ball and increases comfort. The ACC technology is still present and the Nike Skin synthetic layer covers all of the surface of the boot in order to protect the Flyknit.
Chassis
With the evolution of the new upper, Nike has included a chassis that keeps the structure of the boot and wraps the foot with a 360 fit. The padded heel is combined to an anti-sliding insole to prevent any slidings inside the boot.
Sole
The distribution and shape of the studs is intact, just like the anatomic plate. However, the metatarsal area is modified so it is more flexible without excessively reducing the energy return of the plate.
