Resuch 2015 World Keeper retro glove

I was checking out my social media this morning and I received a great surprise in the Reusch UK official twitter account. The black arrow is back in 2015.

Being a fan of Reuch has always been an open secret in my case. If you know I’m more than 30 it’s quite obvious that I grew up and became a goalkeeper with Reusch gloves. So it’s a fact that, even though I do enjoy the latest Reusch gloves, I do miss the aesthetics from the gloves we had in the 90’, with the arrow that became a big icon with the biggest goalkeepers.

The latest technologies in Reusch made it imposible to keep on with the arrow detail in the back hand. The 2004 collection was the one to end the iconic arrow. Reusch improved on the tech specs but lost a big brand image. The German brand stopped being the “brand of the arrow” and became another brand. And even though it featured an aggressive look, with incredible colors and the best tech specs, some of us still miss the iconic detail… until today. Because today, December the 12th, while having breakfast, I found this photo Reusch UK official twitter account.

This photo leaves no doubts. Finally, for 2015, Reusch brings a nice gift to the Reusch fans with this retro model. The chosen model seems to be pretty clear: The glove used by the professional goalkeepers during the 2002 Korea and Japan World Cup, yes, the Reusch World Keeper, a line in charge of protecting the goals nets of the biggest national football teams every 4 years.

With this great news I’m now at work. Now we just can wait to know about the details, will it feature the current G2 palm or will it used the original one with Megagrip. And the price, some late exclusive collections have been pretty expensive… Whatever, it’s good to know Reusch is back with the Black arrow.

The old school lovers are celebrating this day.
