Technical description

New Balance continues to put its money on laceless football boots for its mid-range Tekela version. The knit upper is more resistant than the high-end range and has a textured finish that provides a degree of grip when in contact with the ball. All covered by a fine synthetic layer that waterproofs the boot.

The third generation of Tekela last has been narrowed in comparison to the earlier version, seeking a tighter fit to maintain lateral support when the player performs more aggressive lateral moves. The interior padding located in the heel, fixes the foot to the base to avoid unwanted sliding around.

The American firm has decided to keep the same sole it presented in the last Tekela generation. This is because when something works, it’s best not to touch it. The conical studs facilitate rotary movements without sacrificing good traction when starting or braking.

For footballers competing at federated level looking for a mid-range football boot to play on natural or latest generation artificial grass pitches. A reinforced boot that provides good sensations when in contact with the ball and strong durability.
